New veterans coffee morning to launch in Oakham this July

This month, a new coffee morning aimed at supporting local veterans will launch in Oakham.

With a long military history, Rutland is a hub of activity for active and former service men and women, and has a large veterans community that enjoy events such as the monthly Rutland Armed Forces and Veterans Breakfast Club, and support the local branch of the Royal British Legion.

New this July, Tesco will be hosting a brand new veterans coffee morning at the store's community room.

Set to take place on the second Wednesday of every month from 10am - 12pm, the group is supported by The Lions Club of Rutland, Home Straight and the Lord-Lieutenant of Rutland, Dr Sarah Furness.
