Anyone considering becoming a councillor and standing in the upcoming elections on Thursday 4th May has just over a month to ensure they are officially nominated and complete nomination papers.

Nomination papers will need to be signed by two electors who are registered in the ward/parish where you wish to stand and these then need to be returned to our Elections team by 4th April 2023.

There is also still time to attend the final Candidate and Agents Briefing which runs from 3pm – 5pm on Monday 13th March at Rutland County Council, Catmose House, in the Council Chamber.

To request a nomination pack or book on to the Candidate and Agent Briefing please contact Rutland County Council's Election team by emailing [email protected] or call 01572 722 577.

If you have any questions about the role of a councillor then please contact our Governance team by emailing [email protected] or call 01572 722 577.

Further information can be found online and on the Rutland County Council website.
