An Asian-inspired restaurant is expanding its range of foods and introducing a brand new drinks deal later this month.
Everest Lounge, formerly the home of the Italian restaurant The Merry Monk, is based in the heart of Oakham and is getting ready to welcome a brand new and improved menu.
Everest Lounge first opened in March 2020 for only a few weeks before it was forced shut at the hands of the covid pandemic.
The team eventually opened the restaurant in June of the same year for delivery and takeaway, and have been catering for eat in and takeaway customers since.
The family-run venture is owned by Giri Bhanadari and is 'related' to the Gurkha Oven in Stamford.
Giri's brother-in-law, Paul Sharma, told Oakham Nub news that almost £200,000 had been spent on the restaurant when it first opened - and now the team are investing in the community by introducing a new drinks offer and expanding their popular menu.
The venue is currently running as a Nepalese and Indian restaurant, however the team, headed up by Paul, are introducing Chinese cuisine to their new and improved menu this month.
They are set to launch this new menu on 10 July.
Following this, in August, they will be introducing a buy one get one free drink offer, which will be available from Sunday to Thursday throughout August for tables booked from 4pm - 7pm.
To celebrate the launch of this deal, the team are giving one lucky individual the chance to win a meal for two.
