Cinema for Rutland returns to Oakham this week after an enforced break due to lockdown restrictions.

The cinema is hosted by Rutland County Museum in Catmos Street in an initiative by Arts for Rutland.

It features cinema showings on the first Thursday of the Month, with this Thursday's event being the first since the easing of restriction.

The first film, to be shown on September 2, will be 'Military Wives' (PG), a musical comedy drama, starring Kristin Scott Thomas, Sharon Horgan and Emma Lowdnes.

Tickets are normally £5 but, for this performance only, admission will be free and on a strictly 'First Come, First Served' basis. Doors open at 7pm for 7:30pm.

Wine and other refreshments will be available before the film showing.
