This Sunday, SwimRutland is staging a swim across Rutland Water from Whitwell to Normanton Church.

SwimRutland further commented: "We have distance options including 500m, 2km, 4km or 8km.

"The experienced safety crew will support you throughout the swim.

"500m is ideal for beginners giving you a taste of swimming in the main body of the lake.

"2km swimmers get a lift on the Rutland Belle to Normanton church before swimming back to Whitwell.

"4km swimmers complete an out and back across the entire course.

"8km swimmer complete two full loops of the course."

They also commented: "We recommend some open water experience which is available each Sunday throughout the summer with inspire2tri at their weekly training swims."

Details of this and other SwimRutland events can be found here.
