Oakham exercise group dances in charity class to raise £400 for Breast Cancer Now

By Grace Kennington 11th Mar 2025

Clubbercise Rutland with Hayley held a special charity fundraiser for Breast Cancer Now, raising £400.

Clubbercise is a dance fitness class marketed as 'the workout that feels like a night out without the heels or hangover." Hayley's classes, which she has been running since July 2024, take place in a nightclub-type setting with a dark room, disco lights and glowsticks.

Hayley's group raised money for Breast Cancer Now, a charity close to home for her. Hayley's mum is a breast cancer survivor and Hayley's Clubbercise instructors course last year was taken by Sonique, who has been diagnosed with breast cancer and is facing an ongoing battle through various treatments and surgeries.

The charity class was hosted at Oakham C of E Primary, where Hayley's classes are regularly held. The school let her hire the space for free for the charity class and Hayley waived the usual fee for her class, instead asking participants to donate instead.

Hayley said: "I was blown away by the support. Friends and family and also many of my regular participants who couldn't make the charity class still donated and together, we raised a total of £400."

Hayley's regular classes take place every Monday at 7pm at Oakham C of E Primary School. To book onto a class, find out more or check out Hayley's social media, click here.
