Oakham fish Bar on Ashwell Road is under new management as former owners return to live with family in Cyprus following successful 9 years.

Oakham Fish Bar is a popular fish and chip shop and takeaway on Ashwell Road, and on 12 December 2022, was taken over by new owners Kam and Narinder Thiara.

They have been supported by previous owners, Georgina and team, throughout the takeover, and are officially taking the reins on Tuesday 20 December, when Georgina and her family leave for Cyprus for good.

Kam said: "We are so excited to take over and are looking forward to serving old, existing and new customers."

Georgina and her family are all heading home to Cyprus to be closer to their family, but will miss Oakham and the local people, having served them for nearly 9 years.

Georgina added: "We have been here for nearly 9 years and have met so many lovely people. We would like to say thank you for the support. We are sad to be leaving, but are excited to spend more time with our family."

Congratulations to Kam and Narinder, and Oakham Nub News send our best to Georgina and family on their new adventure.

The fish bar can be found at 20 Ashwell Road, and is open:

11:30am - 2pm and 4:30 - 9pm every day excluding Sundays, when the shop is closed.
