An established local florist has relocated to new premises on Melton Road, Oakham.

Due to the increase in local rent costs, Sally Holmes Florist has relocated from 45 Melton Road to 4 Melton Road, just off Oakham High Street.

The business has been established for over 40 years, and provides floral decorations, bouquets and services for weddings, funerals, and special occasions.

The team have just completed a swift move into the former home of Huw Matravers Clocks, nestled in between Oakham's popular Rutland Refill and eco shop and Berridge's off license and corner shop.

They shared the news on their social media: "So here we are.

"It is with the ongoing rise in rent by landlords we find ourselves in this situation.

They continued: "We have found a really cute little shop at 4 Melton Road. It is situated pretty much straight opposite our old shop.

"We will still offer all the same services and deal with our customers in the same way. Our phone lines and PDQ payment system may take a few days to sort but feel free to pop in.

"We look forward to seeing all our lovely customers."
