  1. A Precious Clean

A Precious Clean are a local cleaning company looking to expand their team of cleaners at Ranksborough Hall, Langham. Ranksborough is home to approximately 40 holiday lodges which need cleaning every Monday and Friday.

The lodges all have hot tubs and accommodate couples and bigger holiday groups with pets and require a high level of cleanliness.

The role requires cleaners who can work from 9:45 until approximately 2:30 on Mondays and Fridays. This means the job fits in around rush hour and the school run.

Applicants should be:

Positive and hardworking

Willing to work well with others

Comfortable safely handling an array of cleaning equipment and fluids

Friendly and presentable

The salary is generous, paying £10 an hour for the right candidate.

Previous cleaning experience is not necessary, as long as candidates have a willingness to learn and work hard.

  1. Rutland County Council

This is an exciting time for you to come and work at Rutland County Council, with multiple Community Support positions available.

In summer 2020 a new vision for the Day Opportunities Service was developed. The new vision and approach have huge potential to improve the lives of those living with learning disabilities and autism supported by the service, this means the service now focuses on what is possible, rather than what isn't. Rutland County Council would like someone who has:

A positive attitude, motivated and enthusiastic

A caring nature with great interpersonal skills

Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous

A full, clean driving licence to drive manual transmission vehicles

Working within the Community Support Services, Community Support Workers get the opportunity to experience roles within the Day Opportunities and Supported Living services, supporting a wide range of service users with complex care and support needs. Due to the nature of the roles, some elements of physical work such as moving and handling and delivering personal care will be required. Some evening and weekend work is required to meet the needs of the Community Support Service.

The vision for these services is for a more personalised service with more choice for all providing a 24/7 service with health and wellbeing at the heart. Most importantly, it is now a service that builds independence and evolves with each individual. It's all about putting life into years!

The Community Support Worker position has been identified as needing to comply with the mandatory vaccinations legislation. If you are the successful candidate, you will need to provide evidence that you have received both first and second dose vaccinations or evidence of medical exemption.

This role can offer you a comprehensive induction and a tailored training plan, with support to undertake the QCF Diploma and Level 2 Health and Social Care qualifications if you do not already hold these.

The successful Community Support Workers will be subject to an enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The costs for the DBS are paid by the council.

The Community Support Workers interviews will be held in November 2021. These will be rolling dates to suit you and us.

  1. The Village Diary

Permanent monthly magazine deliverers are needed for:

Bisbrooke, Collyweston, Duddington, Glaston, Harringworth, Lyddington, Morcott, Seaton, Wing, Barnack, Exton and Helpston.

One-off deliverers are needed next week for:

Bisbrooke, Glaston, Harringworth, Lyddington, Morcott, North Luffenham, Seaton, South Luffenham, Wing, Stoke Dry, Belton in Rutland, Ayston, Caldecott, Ridlington, Thorpe by Water and Wardley.

Delivery is usually on the Wednesday nearest to the end of each month and successful candidates will receive an email at least two days in advance of delivery each month to confirm availability.

You will have a minimum of 4 days to complete your delivery round(s). All rounds to be completed by the 1st of the following month (unless agreed otherwise with the publisher).

Each issue of the magazine can be between 32 and 48 pages every month.

The Village Diary pay 8p per magazine delivered to each home (i.e. £8 per 100) and a delivery round can consist of anything between 100 and 1,000 homes.
