Oakham Medical practice have bid farewell to Dr Bailey, who has left the surgery to pursue 'new opportunities'.

Dr Bailey, who attended patients at the Market Overton, Somerby, and Oakham surgeries, left the medical group in early February.

Patients have been told that they will see no disruption to usual services despite this departure, and that locum GPs will be assisting the usual team while a replacement is found.

The surgery released the statement: "Due to new opportunities, Dr Bailey has left Oakham Medical Practice and Market Overton and Somerby Surgeries.

"We are actively recruiting to find her replacement, but in the meantime, there may be a change to your named GP. 

"The Partners are sharing her list of patients and we have locum GPs working with us; there will be no disruption to your ongoing care.

"We wish her all the best for the future!"
