By The Editor

13th Jul 2021 | Local News

A public meeting tonight where a representative of Oakham Medical Practice is to answer questions has been booked out.

The event follows the practice in May saying it was "in crisis" as previously reported by Nub News.

The crisis lead Healthwatch Rutland to intervene and make recommendations, as also reported.

Patients Voice is staging its first public meeting for more than a year for patients of Oakham Medical Practice due to Covid-19 related restrictions.

Further meetings are planned for later this year.

Current covid restrictions mean the event this evening at the Gover Centre is limited to 40 places- which are now all taken.

The event is at 7.30pm at the Gover Centre, Rutland Community Hub, Land's End Way, and doors open at 7.15pm.

The meeting, which is expected to run until 9.15pm, will feature a review of Patients' Voice committee's work since the last public meeting.

Dr Hilary Fox --- Clinical Director of Rutland Health Primary Care Network will give an update and explanations on various Rutland Health matters; current & future.

There will also be a Q & A session featuring a management representative from Oakham Medical Practice on hand to take questions.
