Preparations are underway for the return of the Rutland Show next year.

The Rutland Showground recently announced the return of the popular event, which was cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic and also replaced this year with a Festival of Food and Farming.

The event will take place on Saturday June 4 2022.

Rutland Showground announced on social media: " This is the Saturday of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee extended weekend and we will be celebrating too with a whole host of exciting entertainment, attractions and displays along with all the traditional elements of the show such as livestock showing and equestrian competitions."

The showground has since announced that on November 1, it will issue on its website Trade Applications,Catering Applications and Tenders, Larder Applications , Bar applications and Tenders.

The organisers said: "We are really looking for lots of local trade, catering, bars and larder stands to really represent and demonstrate all things Rutland. All animal entries and ticket sales will follow on a date tbc."

Earlier this week, they added: "Lots of 'main ring entertainment' booked and sorted today for the Jubilee Rutland Show Saturday 4th June 2022, more details to follow in the coming weeks with a completely new traffic solution."
