Welland Vale Garden Centre are seeking a Retail Team Leader to join their team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be expected to work weekend hours.
This is a physical role, including regularly moving large and heavy items, so applicants should have a good level of fitness.
The role is varied and will see the successful candidate focusing on product sales, plant care, displays, seasonal changes and a comprehensive customer experience.
The candidate will:
Provide customers with an excellent standard of customer service and assist customers with enquiries and purchasesRecognise and follow through on sales opportunities
Work deliveries quickly and efficientlyCreate and maintain visual displays
Maintain excellent standards of general housekeepingHave a friendly personality and work well as part of a team
Be able to lead a teamHelp support the managers with day to day running.
The ideal candidate would:
Have previous experience in a retail sales environment ideally with supervisory experience tooHave some good plant knowledge and know how to water correctly
Be a team player that can self-motivate and motivate othersHave an outstanding level of customer service skills

The successful candidate will assist the team in delivering efficient and enticing menus for the residents. "Oakham Grange is situated in the heart of the Barleythorpe community. We are a state-of-the-art facility with a brand-new kitchen, fantastic equipment and resources to work with. We don't even monitor your budgets overly tightly, because our priority is giving you the ability to cook amazing food for our amazing residents, not profit. The candidate will:Have previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment
Be confident preparing, cooking and presenting appetising, balanced and varied nutritious foodsEnsure that the kitchen is kept clean and hygienic at all times and the environment is safe
Supervise and mentor junior chefs and kitchen assistants to be efficient within their roles, and deputise in the absence of the Head ChefSupport the Head Chef.
You will have the opportunity to contribute to creating quality menus that are accessible to all residents, reflect seasonal changes and offer a good range of choices. Previous care home experience and knowledge of IDDSI would be an advantage, but in no way is essential as full training will be provided.

HMP Stocken are looking to fill a full-time Prison Officer role this week.
Based just outside of Oakham, the candidate will have a short commute and will earn a starting salary of £24,427, which includes additional allowance and unsocial hours pay, as well as excellent benefits.
