  1. Welland Vale

Welland Vale Garden Centre are seeking a Retail Team Leader to join their team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be expected to work weekend hours.

This is a physical role, including regularly moving large and heavy items, so applicants should have a good level of fitness.

The role is varied and will see the successful candidate focusing on product sales, plant care, displays, seasonal changes and a comprehensive customer experience.

The candidate will:

Provide customers with an excellent standard of customer service and assist customers with enquiries and purchases

Recognise and follow through on sales opportunities

Work deliveries quickly and efficiently

Create and maintain visual displays

Maintain excellent standards of general housekeeping

Have a friendly personality and work well as part of a team

Be able to lead a team

Help support the managers with day to day running.

The ideal candidate would:

Have previous experience in a retail sales environment ideally with supervisory experience too

Have some good plant knowledge and know how to water correctly

Be a team player that can self-motivate and motivate others

Have an outstanding level of customer service skills

  1. Oakham Grange
Oakham Grange are looking for a talented, experienced and self-motivated Chef to join the care home team on a full-time contract. The successful candidate will assist the team in delivering efficient and enticing menus for the residents. "Oakham Grange is situated in the heart of the Barleythorpe community. We are a state-of-the-art facility with a brand-new kitchen, fantastic equipment and resources to work with. We don't even monitor your budgets overly tightly, because our priority is giving you the ability to cook amazing food for our amazing residents, not profit. We are not the average care home, and we do not provide average food for our residents, we are more like a 5* hotel!" The candidate will:

Have previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment

Be confident preparing, cooking and presenting appetising, balanced and varied nutritious foods

Ensure that the kitchen is kept clean and hygienic at all times and the environment is safe

Supervise and mentor junior chefs and kitchen assistants to be efficient within their roles, and deputise in the absence of the Head Chef

Support the Head Chef.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to creating quality menus that are accessible to all residents, reflect seasonal changes and offer a good range of choices. Previous care home experience and knowledge of IDDSI would be an advantage, but in no way is essential as full training will be provided.

  1. HMP Stocken

HMP Stocken are looking to fill a full-time Prison Officer role this week.

Based just outside of Oakham, the candidate will have a short commute and will earn a starting salary of £24,427, which includes additional allowance and unsocial hours pay, as well as excellent benefits.

Keeping a prison running smoothly and safely takes many things - good judgement, common sense and responsibility to name a few. Above all, though, it takes teamwork. And as part of the HMP Stoken team you'll be right at the heart of it.

The candidate will:

Work confidently in a busy, professional environment

Operate on a shift-pattern that will include regular night and weekend work

Support the day-to-day running of the prison

Work patrol and gate duties

Manage deliveries

Supervise visitors and monitor phone calls and CCTV

Process documentation and property in the reception unit

Supervising movement around the prison.
