Michelle Mihill from Oakham was joined by Mark Affuso from Market Harborough to take part in the Robin Hood 100-mile challenge.

The pair started running on Saturday 21st September and ran through the day and night to complete the challenge.

Before they started, the pair was not convinced they would be able to complete the run but were hoping to do it in between 24 and 25 hours.

Michelle and Mark smashed their goal, completing 101.8 miles in 22 hours and 40 minutes.

Michelle's husband, James Mihill, helped them by acting as their 'crew.' He met them at points along the course, which was an enormous help and made a big difference to their challenge.

Congratulations Michelle and Mark!
