Police and Air Ambulance attend A606 accident

Last night, Leicestershire Police and Air Ambulance teams responded to what appears to be a multi-car collision on the A606.

The road was closed from approximately 8pm for serval hours while the accident was cleared.

It is yet unclear if anyone was injured.

Leicestershire Police Tweeted: "Traffic update at 20:21. Due to an on going police incident, there is a closure in place on Stamford Road, Oakham, at the junction with Burley Park Way. Please seek alternative routes. Thank you for your patience, updates to follow."

No further updates have been released, but the road is clear now.
