Rutland residents and businesses can learn how to protect themselves with online webinars on cyber awareness fraud and scams.

Sam Hancock (Police, Cyber Protect Officer, Leicestershire) said: "The Leicestershire Police Cyber Protect is partnering with Nationwide Building Society to bring you advice and guidance on how to stay safe online and avoid scams in two free webinars.

"The first session is a non tech awareness webinar for the public on Thursday 13th May 1.30pm – and is aimed at anyone who uses email and the internet.

"The second session, 18th May 6pm, is aimed at businesses including an overview on current threats and signposting to a vast array of free resources in order to help increase their resilience against cybercrime and fraud.

"Places must be booked through Eventbrite – either via the link below, or, if you prefer not to click on links, search "Nationwide Cyber" on the Eventbrite home page."
