Following the departure of Green Party councillor Hans Zollinger-Ball from Rutland County Council, four candidates are standing in the subsequent by-election for the Barleythorpe Ward.

The by-election for Rutland's Barleythorpe Ward is taking place today (24th July 2025), with the polls open from 7am to 10pm.

The polling station is located at Oakham United Football Club, Main Road, Barleythorpe, LE15 7EE.

• Andy Burton - Independent,
• Andrew Dinsmore - Conservative,
• Declan McCarthy - Reform UK,
• Jonathan Nichols - Liberal Democrat
