Power cut: Almost 100 properties in Oakham are experiencing power outage as National Grid works to fix problem

Large areas of Oakham have lost power, with areas affected in LE15 postcodes expected to be without power for hours before a resolution is found.

It is currently estimated that 92 properties have been affected, with post codes affected including: LE15 7LY, LE14 7LZ, LE15 7NA, LE15 7NB and LE15 7ND.

The incident was first reported at 8:50am. At the time of writing (11am),National Grid is not expecting to resolve this issue for several hours, estimating the problem will be solved be 13:30pm.

As this is a High Voltage Incident, large areas are affected by the outage, making it likely neighbours will also be affected. It is important to check on elderly and vulnerable neighbours during power outage.
