Oakham Castle is preparing to host this year's celebrations for Rutland Day.

Everyone is invited to join the festivities from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 14th September.

The motto of Rutland County is 'Multum in Parvo' which translated from Latin means 'a great deal in a small place,' and this could not be more fitting for the planned festivities for Rutland Day.

From performances by Rutland Morris (11am) and Rutland Choral Society (1pm and 2pm) to the chance to try The Rutland Cocktail, there will be plenty going on throughout the day.

There will also be fun attractions including a Rutland Treasure Hunt, a life-sized banner of the Rutland Sea Dragon, and a 15th century re-enactment by The Ferres Household. Local groups such as the Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust and Oakham Canal Green Corridor Project will attend.

Oakham Castle is excited to welcome everyone to a fun-packed day of celebrating all things Rutland.
