Leicestershire Neighbourhood Watch is looking for a Melton and Rutland Area Manager to join the team.

Since its inception in 1964, the Neighbourhood Watch has brought communities together to fight crime and protect the people of the United Kingdom. The community-led initiative is the largest voluntary crime prevention group in the country.

Neighbourhood Watch is about:

  • raising awareness of crime prevention
  • building and strengthening a community's resilience and wellbeing
  • building confidence to report crime

This is done through creating a community network of neighbours, partners (local authority, police, schools) and groups who look out for each other in a positive and welcoming environment.

What is involved?

As an Area Coordinator, you will help support Coordinators in your area achieve this. Your Force Area Association will also support you in this role and get you connected with other Area Coordinators.

The role of an Area Coordinator can be extremely rewarding and important. You are the local point of contact for Coordinators in your area for support and guidance and help the development of Neighbourhood Watch.  

This is a voluntary role.
