Rob explained the reason they are currently looking for new board members, saying: 'Earlier this year, two of our founding directors stepped down from the Board, having played an instrumental role in setting up and establishing the station.

'We have taken some time to assess our needs at Board level, and we are now ready to undertake our first Board recruitment process since the CIC was set up at the end of 2020.

'This is an exciting time for Rutland and Stamford Sound as we now have Angela Wilson on board as our part-time Business Development Officer, a role funded by a grant from the Ofcom Community Radio Fund.

'We are looking for people who can help us ensure that we make best use of the development opportunities presented by the Ofcom grant, as well as bringing fresh ideas for securing the long-term future of Rutland and Stamford Sound and further strengthening our relationships across the local community.

'We are keen to hear from anyone who shares our passion for the local area and has skills which can benefit a volunteer led not-for-profit community organisation. No previous knowledge of community radio is required.'

For anyone interested in getting involved in this brilliant local community radio station, there is more information about Board recruitment, visit the Rutland and Stamford Sounds website.
