Rutland has been awarded just over £1.7m in funding to support social care staff this winter.
Meanwhile, neighbouring Leicestershire has been awarded over £33m.
The total boost for Rutland is £1,792,854, and Leicestershire will benefit from £33,173,679.
In the 2021 census, Leicestershire had approximately 712,000 residents, and Rutland 41,000, meaning that this funding boost works out at a similar rate of funding per capita.
MP for Rutland, Alicia Kearns, said: "This is brilliant news for our communities, and will provide a significant boost to support our local social care workforce, increase capacity in social care, and in turn support the NHS.
"The money can be used flexibly based on our local need, including to increase the fees given to care providers, which will enable better pay for care workers.
"This announcement is part of the Government's £600m package to help with recruitment and retention in social care this Winter.
"Building a stronger care system will not only help to better meet care needs around the country, but this will also help prevent admission to hospital and support patients to be discharged from hospital more quickly."
Meanwhile, a local care provider has been supporting National Allotments Week this week across Rutland and Stamford.
