Rutland Clothing Bank have released an urgent appeal for winter clothing for men as Christmas draws nearer.
Rutlanders Helen Wolstenholme and Mandy Black set up Rutland Clothing Bank three years ago, and it has jumped from strength to strength, earning a reputation for helping source school uniform, winter jackets, shoes, and much more to those in need in the local area. The team have also worked hard providing clothes for Ukrainian refugees over the past 18 months.
Now, the team are looking to source men's coats and winter clothing in wearable condition. Coats can be of all sizes and styles. They are also looking for jeans size 30, 32 and 34 waist.
While winter is a joyous time for many, those who are struggling are in desperate need of winter clothes to keep the chill at bay.
The team posted on their Facebook page: "Please, please, please can you help.
"We are running very low on stock for mens winter clothing. It's a great time to have a clear out before Christmas. We are especially in need of jeans size 30, 32, 34 inch waist.
"Any donations can be dropped to Oakham Baptist Church, Melton Road between 10am and 4pm, closed Tuesday and Saturday.
"Many thanks."
