Root-and-Branch Out is organising new seasonal community feasts, inviting the community to cook and eat together to celebrate each of the four seasons.

In a recent announcement, Root-and-Branch Out shared the exciting news that they are starting new community feasts, four times a year to mark the changing of the season.

They said: "We are offering the opportunity for our community to cook and eat together and to invite others to join us to share in celebrating the four seasons with a hearty meal and some great company."

As community is at the heart of the feast, Root-and-Branch Out are looking for volunteers to help with the events, including a team of volunteer cooks and a team of hospitality folks to serve the food. They emphasise that experience is not needed, they just want volunteers that are keen to help.

The Feasts will take place in April, July, September and December at various venues in Rutland, including at least one magical outside venue. The ingredients for the meal will come from local gardens or surplus food as the group has a strong sustainability ethos.

Root-and-Branch Out is a Rutland-based community organisation that provides a variety of opportunities, including Forest School, allotment and food growing projects, and sustainable crafts. This volunteer-led group aims to nurture community through nature and has opportunities to learn new things for children and adults of all ages and abilities.
