An Oakham maker of handmade dog treats looks set to move.

Paws Doggie Bags is currently based in Oakham Enterprise Park at Unit 5G but the premises are due for demolition.

Business owner Carole Sandhu has applied to Rutland County Council as she is seeking to move to Unit 24 on the business park, but she has been told she must apply for a change of use to the empty premises.

Carole recently took over the food business and is a registered dietician for both the NHS and private industry. She also writes about nutrition for dog magazines and blogs.

In her planning application, she said the dog treats would be baked by hand, using a large food mixer and three ovens. The equipment would be moved over from the existing to the new premises.
