Rutland Council warns about parking scams

Rutland County Council have issued a warn about parking scams.
In a statement published on social media, the authority has warned residents about an increase in scam text messages relating to parking scams.
The council are reminding people that they do not use text messages to communication about parking charges.
The advice they have issues says to delete the message and report as a scam on your device and do not click any links you are send in these messages.
Therefore, any text messages about parking fines that claims to be from Rutland County Council and asks for payment is a scam and should be immediately deleted.
