The Annual General Meeting of Rutland County Council has been moved from 15 May to 22 May.

Rutland County Council has approved the moving of the Annual General Meeting of the council to 22 May 2023.

Speaking to fellow members of the full council at their last meeting on 27 March, before the local elections on 4 May, Conservative leader of the council, Lucy Stephenson said: "This is a fairly straightforward proposal noting the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III, and the ensuing additional Bank Holiday, moving the AGM from its current date of 15 May 2023, ensures enough preparation time for the annual council and inducting members after the local election on 4 May."

Members voted by majority to approve the moving of the date of Rutland County Council AGM to Monday, 22 May 2023.
