Founded in May 1960, Rutland Flower Club has been a staple of Oakham community groups. The club meets monthly to learn more about flowers and flower arranging, as well as hosting a number of professional demonstrators.

The group also holds various other events, including outings, workshops, celebrations to commemorate special occasions and their upcoming sapphire anniversary. They will have their own stand at Rutland Flower Show in August, showcasing spectacular floral arrangements. They will also mark VE Day with floral arrangements in Oakham Castle and Oakham Library.

The group meets on the first Tuesday of the month in the Methodist Church, Northgate in Oakham, opening at 7.00pm for the meeting 7.30pm to 9.00pm.
