Rutland Morris are a common sight at events across the county and beyond, bringing their joyful blend of music and dance to tap.
With their dancing, Rutland Morris raises funds every year for local charities. This is through charging fees for 'invitation events' and by collecting donations at their regular weekday 'dance-outs.'
In their 2024-25 year, Rutland Morris opted to donate this year's funds to Root-and-Branch Out.
The group donated £750, as well as inviting the Root-and-Branch Out team to their 'have a go day' where they were presented with the cheque.
They were also joined by Dr Sarah Furness, Lord-Lieutenant of Rutland.
Over the last decade, Rutland Morris has donated over £5,000 to a range of local charities.
Root-and-Branch Out is a Rutland-based organisation that helps to connect local people with nature and the environment. They offer Forest School as well as running Growers Row at Rutland Showground where they have food growing projects. They also offer hands on workshops, a Community Fridge and help with local woodland management.
