Local am dram group gets ready to stage 'Avenue Q' this week
The team at Rutland Musical Theatre (RMT) are getting ready to stage their upcoming production of 'Avenue Q' this week.
Following their sell-out performances of 'Kinky Boots' at The Corby Cube in April, RMT will be performing 'Avenue Q' at Rutland Showground this week, with performances kicking off tonight, Wednesday 30 August.
Starring in the show will be:
Part flesh, part felt and packed with heart, Avenue Q is the laugh-out-loud musical that tells the timeless story of a bright-eyed college grad named Princeton. When he arrives in the city with big dreams and a tiny bank account, he has to move into a shabby apartment all the way out on AVENUE Q.
Still, the neighbours seem nice.
There, he meets Kate (the girl next door), Lucy (the sl*t), Rod (the Republican), Trekkie (the internet entrepreneur), superintendent Gary Coleman (yes, that Gary Coleman) and other new friends! Together, they struggle to find jobs, dates, and their ever-elusive purpose in life.
This show contains adult themes, so parental guidance is required.
Following this, the whole cast will reunite to put on 'The Addams Family: A Comedy Musical'.
'Avenue Q' will take place at Rutland Showground on Wednesday 30 August to Saturday 2 September at 7:30pm.
Book tickets online.
