Richard Adams has been making Rutland calendars since 2000, but this year's will be his last following rising production costs.

The calendar, which every year features the incredible views and heritage sights of Rutland, was initially a project for Richard with the then Rutland Tourism Association as a promotional tool for the county. After a few years, however, Richard's calendars became an annual fund-raising project for local charities and has, over the years, raised money for a number of local charities.

"Rising production costs coupled with a drop in demand for traditional calendars, means, with regret, that this, the 25th County Calendar I have produced will be the last," said Adams.

Recently, the funds from Richard's calendars have been donated to the Rutland Historic Churches Preservation Trust, an organisation which Richard has been a long-time trustee.

"I have a great love for Rutland's wonderful heritage of churches and chapels," said Richard. "They not only provide places of worship for, in many instances, declining congregations but also bring pleasure to residents and visitors alike.

"Inevitably the repair and maintenance costs of these ancient buildings are high and the trust offers grand aid to support the works involved."

According to Richard, the 2025 calendar "intended to show how the county lives up to its motto of Multum in Parvo - 'much in a little'."

As in previous years, the calendar offers a wide range of fantastic photography, featuring Rutland's rich countryside and wildlife, as well as seasonal shots of local buildings and churches. It will also feature photos of events in Rutland, including photos of the recently erected statue of Queen Elizabeth II at Oakham Library and the following visit of the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh.

The calendar is available from Walkers Bookshops in Oakham and Stamford, as well as at village and community shops and post offices across Rutland, costing £7.99.
