Five assaulted in 'altercation' in Oakham park

Five people were assaulted during an 'altercation' in an Oakham Park.

Police are investigating the incident of disorder which is reported to have happened at around 8pm on Friday 24 July in the Cutts Close recreation ground and Church Street area of Oakham.

Five people - one man, two women, a teenage girl and a boy - were assaulted. Their injuries were not life threatening or life changing.

A 27-year-old Oakham man arrested on suspicion of affray has been released under investigation.

Enquiries are ongoing onto the incident and anyone may have witnessed it or has any information about what happened is asked to contact police quoting 20*381132.
