Rutland Sailing Club is seeking caterers to provide on-site services from December.

Rutland Sailing Club, located in Edith Weston on the south shore of Rutland Water, is a members' club for local sailors.

They welcome novices to experienced sailors and host a range of sailing groups, events and socials throughout the year.

The team also have a galley on site where weary athletes can grab a bite to eat and a hot drink when they return to shore - and family and social members can hang out with a cuppa or a coffee and cake while they watch the sailing.

Charnia Catering have been fulfilling the role, but the team are moving on to new things, leaving a vacancy at the club for another local caterer to pick up.

They will be working their notice period up until 17 December 2023, when a new team will hopefully step in to take over catering at the club.

A spokesperson for Rutland Sailing Club said: "We have enjoyed their support over the last year and a bit, and wish them luck with their projects going forwards.

"This means that we are looking for a keen individual or business to take over the Catering Commission at the Club.

"If you are aware of anyone that maybe interest in this fantastic opportunity, please get them to get in touch with us on [email protected], where we can discuss the opportunities that are available, and provide a tender document.

"We will endeavour to provide an unbroken catering service over this transition period."
