An exhibition will be held to showcase a town's business and community organisations.

Uppingham is looking for an events coordinator to help to arrange the event, scheduled for March.

The council's website says: "The Uppingham Expo, scheduled for March 2025, will be a vibrant event that brings together local businesses, schools, artisans, and community organisations to celebrate innovation, creativity, and community spirit. It's an excellent platform for networking, increasing visibility, and engaging with a diverse audience of visitors and potential customers."

The events coordinator should have a proven ability to bring people together, and deliver the project on time, within budget.

Deputy mayor Coun Mark Shaw said: "With the right person or organisation at the helm, this event promises to be a fantastic showcase of Uppingham and the surrounding area, highlighting everything that makes our community so special."

According to an employment and economic development study carried out by the county council last year, the Rutland economy has been in decline. The value of the economy was £706m in 2020, which was a fall of 8.8 per cent from 2015. In comparison the UK economy declined by 2.2 per cent in that time.
