Rutland Water beach will be closed for two days early next week.

On Monday 17 and Tuesday 18 July we will be applying fresh sand to the Sykes Lane beach.

As a result of this work, the beach will be closed with no access on these two days.

Sykes Lane Car Park, Cafe, Visitor Centre, Play Park and Mini Golf Remain Open.

Traffic diversions will be in place in the car park.

The team said: "We are sorry for any inconvenience this causes and look forward to welcoming you on the fresh sand."

Located at Rutland Water's North Shore, Rutland Water beach provides 140 metres of sandy shoreline and a 2,800m2 area for you to paddle and swim in.

Please bear in mind the beach is seasonal and is only operational in the summer months between 10am and 6pm at the weekend, and 1pm-5pm on weekdays.
