Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust have been hard at work this Spring with Osprey season in full swing. They took to Facebook over the weekend to share the exciting news that the first and second Osprey chicks of the year have hatched.

Osprey Maya and her partner 33(11) have been incubating their eggs for the last month, with the fourth egg being laid on the 11th April.

At about 9pm on 9th May, the nest live-cam showed Maya's first egg hatching.

The second egg hatching followed at 5am on Sunday 11th May, with two eggs still left to hatch.
