A local podcast is back for 2024, and the first episode of 2024, follows the story of a young Rutland resident battling cancer.

In the young podcast, 'More Than A Woman', local hosts Tracey and Sarah are on a mission to highlight the remarkable women within their community of Leicestershire and Rutland.

With diverse backgrounds and experiences, Tracey and Sarah are passionate about showcasing the extraordinary stories of strength, courage, and determination that often go unheard. Their podcast aims to inspire and empower audiences of all genders and ages.

To kick off 2024, Tracey and Sarah has had a humbling chat with Alice, who, almost one year ago, was disgnosed with triple negative breast cancer - at only 24 years old.

The team said: "Alice's story will make you cry, laugh, and shout. When she says 'If anyone can Alice can,' you know she means it.

"In February 2023, at just 24 years old, Alice received a life-altering diagnosis - triple negative breast cancer. But instead of letting it defeat her, she's on a mission to raise awareness about this cancer and its symptoms."

In the subsequent months, Alice has raised money for charity, raised awareness surrounding such a challenging diagnosis and has made some incredibly difficult decisions.

Tracey and Sarah have sat down the inspirational young woman to discuss this and more in the most recent episode of their podcast 'More Than A Woman'.

The pair added: "Join us for part 1 of our remarkable chat where we dive into Alice's journey of resilience, determination, and unbreakable strength."
