After returning to their nest at Rutland Water just weeks ago, a Rutland osprey has laid her second egg of the season.

Maya, the long-returning Rutland osprey, has laid her second egg of 2026, with male 33.

The pair have nested together the last 11 years in a row and they have hatched 30 eggs together.

Currently, the pair is sharing incubating on the Manton Bay nest, which can be seen on the live nest cam by the Rutland Osprey Project.
