A section of a busy road in Oakham will close for around four days whilst Severn Trent Water carry out "installation works".

Melton Road will be closed between Dean Street and Station Road from 27 to 30 January.

Traffic will be diverted via High Street, Burley Road and Station Road.

A diversion route will be in place (One.Network).

A temporary road closure notice reads: "The effect of the order will be that during the dates and times specified below all vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along the length of road known as Melton Road from Dean Street to Station Road so that Seven Trent Water can carry out installation works. 

"It is anticipated the works will take 4 days. The closure shall come into force when the appropriate signs and diversion route are erected on site. 

"The duration of the Closure shall be as follows: from 27th January 2025 to 30th January 2025".
