Care for a Cuppa?: Carers invited join safe space for carers
By Grace Kennington 29th Mar 2026
Being a carer can be very isolating and challenging, Lavender Mill hope to change that.
Lavender Mill is a local day care service based in Cottesmore Village Hall that creates a safe and engaging environment for the elderly, isolated or those suffering from dementia.
Through her 23-year career working in care, Sally Radford has seen both sides of the coin - the incredible support care givers offer those in their care and the very emotionally challenging side of caring.
On the last Friday of every month, Lavender Mill open their doors to carers from far and wide to join them for a cup of tea and a good chat.
This is intended to be a safe space where local carers can meet other people in a similar position to them and enjoy a hot drink, cup of tea and friendly faces.
There will also be Admiral Nurses and local support organisations on hand to offer help and guidance.
The coffee morning is free to attend and takes place from 10am on the last Friday of every month at Cottesmore Village Hall.
