A local attraction and working farm has relaunched 'Tots Thursday'.

Rutland Farm Park on Oakham's Uppingham Road is bringing back Tots Thursday in March.

Owned by Clive and Julie and run day-to-day by their hard-working daughter Farmer Amy, the working and play farm is the place to be for families and children, big or small, this half term. Visitors can get up close with a range of rare-breed animals and enjoy grooming and petting sessions with rabbits, guinea pigs, goats and more furry and feathered friends, as well as joining in with a host of activities put on by the friendly team.

Adding to their busy schedule, the team are bringing back a special day dedicated to children under 5, with bargain prices to boot.

Tots Thursday welcomes parents, guardians and childminders with children under the age of five for a variety of activities, every Thursday during term time.

Activities include:

  • Story time
  • Themed arts and crafts
  • Farm games

Daphne's Tea Room, which is attached to the family farm, will also be open for food and drinks, offering a lunch meal deal alongside the brand new weekly activity.

The café and tea room has the same opening times as the farm:

Tuesday - Sunday, 10am - 5pm. The farm opens on Mondays during the summer and throughout the holidays.

The team at Daphne's make almost all of their goodies in-store and source ingredients locally, as well as offering dairy and gluten free options, so there really is something for everyone.

Daphne's is open to the public and is accessible without paying entry to the farm, so even if you aren't animal mad like Farmer Amy and the team, there is still a cosy chair and handmade cake or savoury snack waiting for you!
