The annual beer and music festival, Plough Fest, is back at a Rutland pub this weekend.

Initially starting life as an annual beer festival, this yearly event has now developed into something much more, packed with live music, great food and, of course, a range of beer and cider to keep the party going.

Plough Fest 2024 is set to be the biggest iteration of the popular event yet, and this year the team have tried to source their produce, beer and ciders from the local area as much as possible.

As such, attendees can enjoy beers from Oakham Ales, Milestone Brewery in Newark and Blue Monkey Brewery, located in Nottingham. There will also be some unusual brews and quirky tipples, including one made with Yorkshire Pudding!

Headed up by landlord Peter, the team are "striving to make things even better this year."

And their entertainment line up far exceeds anything that the team have put on before. Performing at the weekend-long event will be a fantastic mix of local and national acts, including music comedy and much more.

Peter said: "The biggie has to be Saturday Night and the Peter Kay Experience, that we cannot wait for. This guy is the UK's leading Peter kay tribute – he even looks like him!"

The marquee will be up for the weekend, although the weather is looking promising so far. The stage will also be up ahead of the weekend event, so there will be loads of room for party goers to enjoy it all and dance the night away.

The fun will kick off on Friday 31 May, when renowned local band, Black Jack will be hitting the stage at 7pm.

Ged Simmons, a fabulous Greetham entertainer, will perform at 7:15pm and 9:45pm on Saturday 1 June. In between these two lively sets, at 8pm, The Peter Kay Experience will headline.

All of these events are free, just like all of the regular music nights at the friendly local pub. And if you can't make it this weekend, the team have a top line up of artists set to perform throughout June:
