This weekend, Rumble Live Action Gaming at Rutland Water hosted a big birthday bash with local business owners, regular users and Nub News, as the family-run gaming franchise celebrated five years.

Rumble, which opened last year at Rutland Water and five years ago at Grafham Water, is a woodland gaming attraction on the shores of Rutland's stunning reservoir.

Located at Sykes Lane, just minutes from Stamford and Oakham, the award-winning attraction opens every weekend from March until November as well as midweek during the Easter, May, and summer school holidays.

Since launching at Rutland Water in March 2023, it has been a hit for families, friends, birthdays, sports clubs, schools, scout groups and corporate teams, delivering an unforgettable and unique experience in the beautiful outdoors.

And to say a big thank you, the team, headed up by matriarch Jacquie Rumble, hosted a birthday party and invited local businesses and regular users for a free session, including cake and fizz and other treats.

Party guests included families who use the centre regularly, local business owners, friends, family and Oakham Nub News - and we all had a wonderful time.

The two hour sessions, which allow users to enjoy a host of scenarios, challenges and weapon styles, see attendees team up with friends, families and strangers to work together over five unique games to come out victorious.

This weekend, the red team won every battle, leaving the blue team trailing.

But there certainly weren't any sore losers, and both teams came together after the session to enjoy cake, coffee, fizz and other treats and reminisce on their favourite action packed moments from the day - and the last year of gaming at the Skies Lane attraction!

The team said: "We really enjoy doing this and seeing smiling faces every weekend. One of the great things about Rumble, is you never know what to expect. Every visit is different. Today, we really enjoyed seeing a load of the blue team storming the tower and triumphantly heading to the top, only to drop the hand grenade and take themselves out! Never seen that before.," they laughed.

"Thanks so much to our supporters, and we hope to see you all very soon."

Perfect for fun-seekers from six years to 'forever young', Rumble is an ideal activity to get outside and active, whilst enjoying some favourite features from popular video games.

Respawns, medic packs, ammo boxes, special weapon upgrades, kill streaks and air strikes are just a few of the things you can expect as you work towards completing your missions - not on a screen - but for real!

Rumble is a next-level laser tag experience that uses state of the art kit you won't find anywhere else in the UK.
