This September, Oakham Art Collective are welcoming the public into the area's vibrant art scene through two art exhibitions. 

The Oakham Art Collective is made up of seven local artists. They have put together an exhibition at Victoria Hall which will run from Wednesday 3rd to Sunday 7th September and again from Wednesday 10th to Sunday 14th September from 10am to 4pm.

Visitors can look forward to a diverse and inspiring selection of artworks made with a variety of mediums, including oil painting, pastels, acrylic, watercolour, textiles and 3D pieces. This will create a vibrant and unique collection that will be available to view by the public and also purchase.

There will also be the opportunity to meet the artists and hear in their own words about their inspiration and creative process. 

There will also be a Creatives in the Castle exhibition of eleven local artists, including photography, paintings, prints, mosaics, ceramics, sculpture, glass and more, all on display at Oakham Castle. 

"We're thrilled to be showcasing such a wide variety of work and to share this moment with fellow artists exhibiting at The Castle," says Andrea Naylor, a spokesperson for the Oakham Art Collective. "It's a brilliant chance for anyone who loves art to experience the depth of talent we have here in Rutland." 

This exhibition will turn over the weekend on 6th and 7th September from 10am to 4pm. 

Both these exhibitions are open to the public as the perfect opportunity to explore art by artists up-close in the heart of Oakham. They are both free to attend.
