Rutland Showground Car Boot Sale is set to return this weekend after weeks of rain and cancellations early in the season.

With sun expected, Rutland residents can finally look forward to a jam-packed Rutland Car Boot Sale on Saturday 29 June.

Taking place at the 18-acre showground to the north of Oakham, Rutland Showground Car Boot is the largest in the area. It's held at the Rutland Showground on regular Saturdays and there is no need to pre-book. Sellers can simply turn up with a car full and tout their wares from only £8.

Stallholder entry and set up begins at 10am, and local residents looking to pick up a bargain can join the fun from 11am for only £1, or £2 to enter before 11am.

Only a handful of the scheduled events have taken place so far, with heavy rain and wet field conditions resulting in the cancellation of over half of the car boot events scheduled to take place since March 2024.

As such, the local team are thrilled to be back this weekend.

They said: "We're back this Saturday and the weather looks glorious. We've had a lot of interest and it's promising to be HUGE. Expect to see 100+ stalls and loads of buyers! See you on Saturday!"
