Oakham's brand new B&M store opened on Saturday 22 April, and if you haven't made it in yet, we have a collections of snaps from the new store to scratch that B&M shaped itch.

On Saturday 22 June, Rutland Foodbank joined the fresh faced staff and enthusiastic customers to open the doors of Oakham's B&M.

The discount retailer has taken possession of aprevious Wilko store which provides a space of 13,463sqft, as well as 50 new jobs for local people.

The colleagues were asked to nominate a local charity they think truly deserves some VIP treatment for the work they do for the local community. They chose the team from Rutland Foodbank to take centre stage and officially unveil the new B&M store.

Rutland Foodbank was founded in 2013 and don't believe that anyone in the community should have to face going hungry. That's why they provide seven days' nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to them in crisis. They tirelessly work towards their goal of combating poverty and hunger in their local area.

Customers flooded the new store at this anticipated launch event, but if you haven't had the chance to pop in yet, then scroll on down for our gallery of snaps taken at the shop.

Customers can find a wide variety of branded groceries including a range of food, drink, and pet food. There is also a wide selection of quality health and beauty products, homeware, electricals, DIY essentials, toys, games, gifts, and plenty more to explore.
