The Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust (LRWT) is hosting a competition to encourage the local community to do their bit.

The LRWT team have launched a new competition where local people can share what they have been doing in the local area to support Rutland's wildlife and be entered in a draw to win a team wilder lRWT reusable flask mug.

A spokesperson for LRWT said: "Imagine a wilder world on your doorstep, with more nature everywhere in both rural and urban areas! This is our vision for Leicestershire and Rutland, and we need you to be a part of it. Will you help us bring nature back and create a wilder future - for nature, for climate and for people?

"Combining our individual actions can create positive changes in the wildlife around us. Take a look at the map below to see how people in Leicestershire and Rutland are helping wildlife return. Use the form to put your actions on the map and become part of Team Wilder!"

The team announced their competition on social media: "We know there's loads of you doing your bit to help nature and we want to know about it so we can shout about it!

"We have created an online map that you can pin your actions to so we can see what positive things are happening across Leicestershire and Rutland.

'Go to the LRWT website and tell us what amazing things you're doing, big or small.

"The 50th pin will win one of our Team Wilder Mugs!"
