Oakham Town Council is seeking tenders from interested parties for the Grounds Maintenance for the three parks maintained by the Council in Oakham.

Work will be undertaken at Cutts Close - where the Council recently opted to cut down on live music and public events following noise complaints - Royce Recreation Ground and Centenary Field. The latter was heavily debated in December 2022 following the rejection of a skatepark proposal by Oakham Town Council as a result of objections to noise and light pollution and alleged anti-social behaviour from local residents.

Oakham Town Council have subsequently planted trees on Centenary Field, one of the three parks that the successful contractors will be attending.

The Council is looking for a contractor to take on the maintenance of these green spaces for three years; a role that would involve regular mowing, trimming, hedge maintenance and litter bin collection.

The contract is for the three-year period from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2027.

For a copy of the tender document please contact:

Clerk to Oakham Town Council on 01572 723627 or e-mail [email protected]

The closing date for submissions is noon on 23 February 2024
