Did you know that you can trace your family tree at Rutland Libraries?

Rutland Libraries offer a range of services, from book, magazine, film and audio book borrowing platforms to, silver surfer courses on using and accessing the internet, and the brand new monthly book sale at Oakham Library.

But did you know, that the team can also help you trace your roots?

At Oakham, Uppingham and Ketton Libraries, the team have access to ancestry tools and platforms where you can find our more about your past, whether you want to find a long-lost relative or learn more about the military past in Rutland.

A spokesperson for the group said: "Tracing your family tree can be challenging, fascinating and fun! If you want to delve into your own past and explore your ancestry, but don't know where to begin, Rutland Libraries can help.

"We have free sessions, led by our friendly, knowledgeable volunteers, at Oakham, Uppingham and Ketton Libraries.

"Whatever you're hoping to uncover, we can help!"

With access to Ancestry and Find My Past, as well as a range of other resources, the team can help you trace back your roots searching and viewing thousands of family records such as census, military records, births, marriages and deaths.
