The play area at Cutts Close in Oakham has had a much-needed resurfacing and update, costing Oakham Town Council £20,000.

The site, which has been closed since the first week of September, was in urgent need of resurfacing after the work was deemed urgent eight months earlier.

The work has included making sure the play equipment was safe and up to legislation, as well as resurfacing the floor.

A wet pour has now been completed, giving the park a fresher look and safer soft landing for little visitors.
